St. Rose of Lima School has proudly served the children of the Washington Heights community since opening in 1924. We educate students from Pre-K through 8th grade by combining Catholic values and a strong academic curriculum. St. Rose of Lima School promotes, expects, and encourages kindnes, love, respect, integrity, and service to others. The school’s faculty and administration strive to develop well-rounded students by encouraging the intellectual, social, physical, and spiritual growth of every child.
St. Rose of Lima School believes in teaching the whole child by encouraging and challenging each student academically, while fostering deep faith. The school's mission is to teach students that love of learning and love of God go hand in hand, enabling them to grow in faith and knowledge. Through Catholic education, the school strives to cultivate generations of knowledgeable leaders and stewards of creation who have been nurtured to possess a deep compassion for their brothers and sisters in Christ.
